- It is the invisible rays in sunlight that cause suntan, sunburn, premature skin aging, and nearly all cases of skin cancer.

- Here in make-up terms, it refers to cool or warm tones of the skin.

- Used as a humectants and as a skin conditioner.

- Damaging (Ultraviolet light, type A) rays from the sun, believed to create wrinkles and premature aging.
