They were covered in the front, their black employee aprons wrapping the requirements. However buns were in complete vision as salespeople from Portland's Lush Cosmetics promoted their "naked" products.
Lush manager Emily Martin said that "Therefore, mainly, we want to go round some heads and let people make out that we do not require all the excess packaging we use in all of our products, and we offer an option to that by having 'naked' products."
Martin explains Lush does use paper wrap up and some plastic for their products however the packaging is ready from used materials. Nearly all shoppers passing by the store on Northwest 23rd and Johnson, the former home of Music Millennium, smiled and laughed and stopped to agree to flyers from the bare-bottomed salespeople. A few mothers covered their kids' eyes as they passed. A Portland police representative cruised by to note what was going on, asked the demonstrators not to delay traffic and moved on with a chuckle.
