PABA: Para-aminobenzoic acid that found in the vitamin B complex. It is used as an ingredient in few sunscreen products.
Palette: A group of colors by family of tones or definite function.
Panthenol: Also known as Vitamin B5 acts as a penetrating moisturizer.
Parabens: Preservatives.
Peptide: A chemical structure with two or more amino acids.
Petrolatum: Used in moisturizers to create a barrier to prevent moisture from evaporating creams, it softens and soothes skin. It forms a film to prevent moisture loss.
pH: Percentage of hydrogen. A scale used to determine the skin's balance of acidity and alkalinity used to measure acidity in cosmetic preparations.
Photoaging: Skin damage incurred all the way through sun exposure. Or it is the skin changes caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
Photosensitivity: A condition in which the application or ingestion of some chemicals or foods can reason to skin problems, like rash, hyperpigmentation and swelling, when the skin is exposed to sunlight.
Phytocosmetic: Cosmetics which are prepared from plants.
Pore: Small opening of the sweat glands of the skin.
Preservative: Keeps product freshness.
Protein: A natural complex shaped by an arrangement of amino acids.
Psoriasis: A chronic disease of the skin consisting of dry, itchy, red patches, generally affecting the scalp or arms and legs. It can be treated with OTC or prescription medications.
