Beeswax:
One of the oldest ingredients in cosmetic preparations, habitually used as an emulsifier. It is almost water insoluble. It is used in many cosmetics with baby creams, cold creams, and many types of makeup. It can cause contact dermatitis however is usually considered pretty safe.
  
Benzoic Acid:
Used in products as a preservative to put off fungi or bacteria growth.
  
Benzophenone:
Filters both ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B radiation, that used in sunscreens.
  
Benzoyl Peroxide:
An antibacterial ingredient commonly used in acne treatments and help prevent acne by drying the blemish and reducing acne-causing bacteria.
  
Bergamot:
This is an antiseptic and bacterial growth-inhibitor recognized for its toning, antiseptic and deodorizing qualities.
  
Beta carotene:
Orange colored plant pigments, used in the manufacture of vitamin A. It got a rich source of Vitamin A with abundant anti-oxidant properties. It is essential for tissue repair and safeguarding and accelerates the formation of healthy new skin cells. Vitamin A deters excess dryness.
  
Beta hydroxy:
An exfoliating agent with a minor molecule size than the alpha hydroxy.
  
Beta-glucan:
A new ingredient derived from yeast, reported to improve the skin natural defense mechanisms.
  
BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene):
Potent in activator of lipid-enveloped viruses and act as an antioxidant.
  
Bioflavonoid:
Plant derivative with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is usually derived from citrus fruit rinds.
  
Biotin:
Part of vitamin B complex that involved in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins.
  
Bisabolol:
Derived from chamomile flowers, used as a calming ingredient. It is used for its anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties on the skin in cosmetics.
  
Blackheads:
A word used to tell the skin's pores clogged by natural oils and impurities.
  
Blemish:
It is an inflamed pore.
  
Botanical:
Refers to products derived from plants and the types of ingredients obtained from plants.
  
Botox:
Trade name for botulinum toxin that used in tiny amounts, it can temporarily paralyze a muscle and lessen or eliminate wrinkles or frown lines without harm.
  
Bronzers:
A synthetic preparation that causes the skin to grow dim (dark) or appeared tanned.
  
Buffer:
A pH balanced cleansing solution that improves the look and feel of the skin leaving it shiny and suppler.
  
Burdock:
A root extract with antibacterial properties. It may as well reduce inflammations such as rashes, redness, acne, eczema.
  
Butcher's Broom:
Botanical extract used to get better circulation and lessen facial redness. It as well believed to have anti-cellulite effects.
  
Butyl Stearate:
An ingredient used to condition skin.
  
Butylene Glycol:
Mild ingredient used as a humectant in moisturizers.
