Eau de Parfum:
The most concentrated fragrance, generally more pricey than eau de toilette due to its concentration.
  
Eau de Toilette:
A less-concentrated fragrance. Has 8 / 17 % essential oil. It is apt for daytime use and is lighter than the perfume.
  
Echinacea:
An oral homeopathic substance thought to boost the immune system. It is frequently taken for cold or flu symptoms and derivative of the coneflower plant, used in moisturizers. Have anti-itching and soothing properties when used in skin-care products.
  
Eczema:
a skin condition that results in red, blotchy, scaly skin patches on virtually any area of the body and the cause is unknown. The condition may be short-lived (acute) or long term (chronic), and is generally treated with topical anti-inflammatory medications available OTC or by direction.
  
Elasticity:
Describes the ability of young-looking skin to keep its shape.
  
Elastin:
It is a protein and a surface protecting agent used in cosmetics to alleviate the effects of dry skin.
  
Electrolysis:
Removal of (unwanted) hair by destroying the hair roots with an electric current.
  
Emollient:
A substance that softens and soothes the skin. And a combination of fats and oils used to keep moisture in the skin by providing a barrier.
  
Emulsifier:
A thickening agent added to products to change their physical composition. It is necessary ingredients to keep two ingredients that usually do not mix, i.e., oil and water, from separating For example; it can turn a lotion into a cream.
  
Emulsion:
It is a suspension of two ingredients that do not mix up, i.e., oil and water, and remain mixed; held jointly by a third ingredient called an emulsifier.
  
Enzyme:
Proteins produced to be catalysts in biochemical reactions.
  
Epidermabrasion:
A peel used to remove the outer layers of skin.
  
Epidermis:
The outer surface layer of skin.
  
Epilate:
Removal of (unwanted) hair from below the skin's surface.
  
Essence:
Fragrant oil extracted from plant or herb. It simply means a perfume: a toiletry that emits and diffuses a fragrant odor.
  
Esthetician:
A specialist or a qualified professional in the area of beauty.
  
Eucalyptus:
An antiseptic and antibacterial, this fragrant oil is used in cleansers, massage formulations, and bath oils for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties and its cooling, soothing result on the skin and scalp. It is used as Antispasmodic and also used for respiratory diseases.
  
Evening Primrose:
Used as an astringent and helpful for reducing skin irritation. It is as well beneficial for dehydrated skin.
  
Exfoliant:
A product that buffs the outmost layers of skin to reveal fresh new cells.
  
Exfoliate:
To remove dead layers of skin to reveal new layers underneath.
  
Exfoliation:
The process of scrubbing off dead skin cells to reveal and expose "younger," fresher skin. The shedding procedure unclogs pores, keeps skin clean and helps reduce acne breakouts.
